Seven US Marines and four aircrew were lost and assumed killed on Wednesday following their army helicopter crashed during a night exercising in Florida, military officials told. The UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter was reported lost on Tuesday about 8:30 pm close to Eglin Air Force Base.
The region was under dense fog but it was not urgently known if that performed a part in the mishap. Base spokesperson Andy Bourland told rescue members discovered remains from the aircraft at around 2:00 am and an examination was ongoing.
